Beauty Business Brokerage

Buying or selling a beauty business? Let's talk.

I'm Rachel D'Angelo — a fourth-generation beauty professional and business broker with SalonSpa Connection. I help salon, spa, and beauty owners navigate one of the biggest transitions they'll ever make.

Why a Broker

From beauty business to business brokerage

I began my career as a licensed cosmetologist, working behind the chair in team-based salons and later operating independently in a salon suite. From there, my work expanded into cosmetology education and then beauty technology — where I worked with thousands of salons navigating software changes and significant operational transitions.

That experience taught me something that shapes how I work today: no two beauty businesses are exactly alike. Helping an owner make the right decision requires patience, asking the right questions, and understanding how their particular business operates before offering advice.

As I expanded my business education through the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), an interest in financials, business valuation, and the mechanics of buying and selling businesses sparked something deeper. The more I learned about brokerage, the more familiar the work felt — for years, I had been listening to owners, learning how their businesses operated, and guiding them through significant transitions. Brokerage lets me apply those skills to one of the biggest transitions an owner or buyer may ever make.

Understanding a salon, spa, or beauty business requires more than reading a profit and loss statement. Its team, clientele, revenue streams, retention, technology, systems, owner involvement, and financial performance all contribute to the bigger picture — and those factors matter on both sides of a transaction.

How I Help

A successful transition has two sides.

Thinking about selling?

Your business may represent years — sometimes decades — of work, relationships, reputation, risk, and sacrifice. You deserve a broker who understands what's behind the numbers.

  • Understand how your business may be viewed in the marketplace
  • Prepare years of work, relationships, and reputation for a successful transition
  • Navigate valuation, financials, and the mechanics of selling with an industry insider
  • Move at your pace — sometimes the first step is simply understanding your options

Thinking about buying?

An acquisition is a significant investment in your future. You deserve to understand the business you're considering — and what ownership could look like after the transition.

  • Understand the business behind the numbers — team, clientele, retention, systems
  • Evaluate what ownership could realistically look like after the transition
  • Get honest insight into beauty business models before you invest
  • Start the conversation even if you don't have everything figured out yet

"A seller is trusting someone with a business they may have spent years building, while a buyer is making a significant investment in their future. I want both sides to feel informed, prepared, and confident as they move through that process."

— Rachel D'Angelo, Beauty Industry Broker

You don't need everything figured out to start the conversation.

Whether you're considering selling your salon, spa, or beauty business — or exploring the possibility of buying one — sometimes the first step is simply understanding your options.
