Research Methodology
How we research, evaluate, and verify the software we feature — so you can make confident decisions for your business.
Software information on BeautiSoul is researched using publicly available sources, official vendor websites, product documentation, demonstrations, customer feedback, and other trusted industry resources. Information may change over time — always verify important details directly with vendors before making purchasing decisions.
How we research software
Every product profile starts with hands-on research: vendor websites, product tours, live demos when available, publicly documented feature lists, and pricing pages. When a vendor offers a trial or sandbox, we use it. When they don't, we rely on documentation, walkthrough videos, and conversations with practitioners already using the tool.
Public sources we use
Official vendor websites, help centers, changelogs, developer docs, pricing pages, integration marketplaces, third-party review platforms, industry publications, and direct conversations with salon and spa owners.
Feature verification
Feature claims are cross-checked against a vendor's own documentation before publishing. When a feature is unclear or behind a "contact us" wall, we mark it as unverified rather than guessing.
Pricing verification
Pricing shown on BeautiSoul reflects the vendor's publicly published rates at the time of research. Because pricing changes frequently — and enterprise or custom pricing is often negotiated — always confirm current rates directly with the vendor.
Review process
Every listing is reviewed by Rachel before publication. Listings aren't generated automatically, and no vendor can pay to be included, ranked higher, or presented as recommended.
Last verified dates
We're building out timestamped verification for each listing so you can see when a profile was last reviewed. Until then, treat all details as a starting point and confirm with the vendor.
Confidence scoring
Some listings include a confidence indicator that reflects how deeply we've been able to research a product — from documentation only, to hands-on use, to conversations with active users.
Vendor update process
Vendors can request factual corrections at any time. See Request a Listing Update. Submissions are reviewed independently before any changes are published.
